Everything You Need to Know About Simulacrum in Your Favorite Game

The Simulacrum is one of the most challenging and rewarding endgame encounters in Path of Exile 2, designed to test the limits of your character’s build and your gameplay skills. It consists of 15 waves of increasingly difficult Delirium monsters, culminating in intense battles against two unique bosses that appear during the encounter. This gauntlet pushes players to adapt quickly, manage resources efficiently, and optimize their damage and defenses.

To access the Simulacrum, you must first collect 300 Simulacrum Splinters, which drop from Delirium encounters scattered across the Atlas of Worlds. These encounters can be found wherever the Delirium icon appears, often in maps instilled with Delirium using Distilled Emotions or through natural Delirium mirrors. Once you gather enough splinters, they combine to form a Simulacrum item that you place into the Realmgate on your Atlas. Activating this opens a portal to the Simulacrum, which begins in a twisted version of the Clearfell Lumbermill.

The encounter itself is divided into waves, each featuring hordes of Delirium monsters with modifiers that increase their difficulty. The arenas vary in size and layout, sometimes offering wide-open spaces and other times constraining movement, which requires players to adjust their positioning and tactics. Early waves focus on crowd control and survival, while later waves ramp up the number and strength of enemies, demanding high area damage and strong defenses.

Two unique bosses, Kosis, the Revelation, and Omniphobia, Fear Manifest, appear randomly during the waves. Players will eventually face both simultaneously, making the fight especially challenging. Prioritizing Kosis is advised because his icy attacks can severely limit battlefield mobility. Managing these bosses alongside the relentless waves of enemies requires a well-rounded build that balances offense and defense.

Survivability in the Simulacrum often hinges on evasion rating, which helps avoid attacks entirely, as armor and energy shield can be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of foes. Many players also bring Omens of Resurgence, which can be activated to restore life and energy shield during the encounter, providing crucial sustain.

Rewards for conquering the Simulacrum are substantial, including exclusive unique items, valuable currency, and large piles of loot. The challenge and high stakes make it a pinnacle of Path of Exile 2’s endgame content, appealing to players seeking both thrill and rich rewards.

The Simulacrum is a demanding 15-wave Delirium gauntlet featuring escalating enemy difficulty and unique bosses. Accessed by collecting Simulacrum Splinters and entering through the Realmgate, it requires a strong, adaptable build focused on area damage and evasion. Success yields significant rewards, making it a key goal for endgame players looking to push their limits and reap valuable loot.
